Gerald M. Seider, longtime program manager in the computer field, Army veteran, died suddenly on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, in South Plainfield, N.J. Visitation and funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at from 1 to 4 p.m. in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, N.J. 07080. An honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, Gerry was employed as a program manager in the computer field for many years. Most recently, he worked for Social Security in Philadelphia, Pa. Gerry enjoyed the outdoors and taking trips to Martha's Vineyard. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who shared his love of the sport with his son. He was a devoted father, dearest brother, loving friend and good man who loved life. Surviving are his son, Michael (Aleksandra) of Pottstown, Pa.; loving partner, Gerri Mason and her daughters, Tina and Julie of Philadelphia, Pa.; sister, Suzanne Butrico (William) of South Plainfield, N.J.; nieces, Laura and Caryn Butrico, and Alison Kaplan (Jay), and a great nephew, Adam Kaplan.
